Irene was a devout Catholic. Her faith was a source of strength for her and the people that she loved. She was an amazingly strong woman with a beautiful smile and she always knew exactly what to say at exactly the right moment. A childhood neighbor of the Kehl family and its eight siblings, she married Donald Kehl in 1950 and the two were blessed with a loving relationship of 72 years. They enjoyed camping and fishing trips and never tired of exploring history and genealogy. In addition to being a devoted mother and later grandmother, Ruth was a proficient gardener and worked at the family business, Herman Kehl Florist and Greenhouses. In later years, she and Donald made the trip south as Florida snowbirds and for awhile worked parttime for Walt Disney World Florist and the Animal Kingdom Theme Park in Orlando. Ruth was a woman of many gifts with strength and humility even to the end. To those who loved her, she exuded a calm nobility of spirit. She had a knowing smile about who she was and a deep faith in her Creator and trust in His promises. She was an enduring light in our lives and will be greatly missed. 2ff7e9595c
